Born Again Life Ministry:

B.A.L.M. is a Haitian ministry which is in partnership and under the umbrella of Healthy Initiative Ministries, a ministry that has been representing God's Kingdom in the lives of the needy and the sick through mobilizing medical professionals for ministry and missions for more than ten years.  We are reaching out to Haitians to those in the Carribean Islands through Born Again Life Centers.

Our Mission :
Our mission is to “provide education, training and healthy initiatives for Haitians for the Glory of God.”

The Need:
Haiti is a country devastated or plagued by misery, ignorance, hatred, injustice, unemployment, violence, and more.   The people have always struggled to survive.  Yet in the abundance of water the fool is thirsty.  The resources are available but there are few means to exploit them.  These people are in desperate need and it is statistically proven that 80% of the population is unemployed and 90% are illiterate.  They need more than our prayers.  They need assistance.

 The pitch darkness covers their minds and the whole country is under the curse because of their iniquity (Deuteronomy 28).  Anything that is abnormal and wrong in the spiritual realm will affect the physical world.

 The situation has been difficult since Haitians got their independence which people believe was accomplished with the help of Satan, the Evil One.  This Enemy can only enslave and destroy.  (John 10:10).  The forefathers organized a ceremony in which they killed a swine and drank its blood.  As a result, now pigs and trash are all over the capital city.  The slaves became filled with hatred and violence.  The Haitian people became physically free from their chains and shackles but their minds are still bound.

  Haiti , which was once called the Pearl of the Antilles , is now transformed into a pig sty.

The International Community, the USA and the Church all have been giving money to the Haitian Government but there seems to be nothing developed in terms of economic growth.  Many have provided some fish but few have offered a fishing pole.  Even less have offered training on how to fish in this challenging environment.  There are few micro-enterprises that offer long term solutions for individuals, families and communities.   

* We Christians believe that Jesus is the only answer.

* The people are still enslaved and under the yoke of Satan.

* Some say that people will perish due to the lack of knowledge.

* The Haitian people need to be set free.

* If the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Born Again Life Center is diligently working developing a center which will provide:

Education, Job-Training and Health Care (Healthy Initiatives).  Sometimes our giving can do more harm than good.  If your giving encourages laziness, think twice before you  give more.  We aim to do something very constructive.  Some have been giving non-stop and very little ever happens.  Instead of continuing to give the hungry man a fish every day, it is now time to teach him how to fish. 

What is going on in Haiti now is the result of hundreds of years of frustration and trauma.

Can you imagine that 98% of the population has been watching the 2% that has all the wealth of the country?  While they are hungry, this majority can not send their children to school nor go to hospitals even if their basic needs can not be met.

We may not be able to meet their every needs but if we train them properly they can become productive and helpful for themselves and their community.

What we seek to achieve:

Library-----safe haven for youngsters and adults alike.  Our Plan encourages reading as a source of information and knowledge.  Hosea 4:6

Computer Labs-----in this era of information and communication, we are left behind most as even those who go to school are computer illiterate.

Recreation Center -----swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, conference room to keep the young people off the streets, drugs, violence, AIDS, etc.

Classrooms-----for our job-training center, adult education, community services, etc.
