“Promoting Faith-Based Whole-Person Healthy Initiatives”

Dear Friends and Sponsors Merry Christmas,                                                   December, 2006

(Our 25th wedding anniversary on June 13th!)

As always, we are very grateful for the donations of our faithful donors.  The mission of H.I.M. is being  accomplished gradually.  God has blessed in so many ways and yet keeps some doors closed.  I feel like Joseph who had to be patient and able to adapt to a plan different than expected.  Rarely does one get to live out a dream so I consider myself blessed to be able to accomplish anything in Christ.  Robert Kiyosaki in Rich Dad, Poor Dad, wrote – “Losers quit when they fail.  Winners fail until they succeed”.  By God’s Grace, we are winners in Christ.

 Things we are thankful for:

  • Celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary
  •
  • Good health for all of our family
  • Grace to adapt to the challenges in life
  • Hope for the future.  God is Faithful.
  • Freedom to be members of a vibrant church.
  • Lots of friends all across the nation.

 Things to remember about CHRISTmas:

  • It is Jesus’ birthday. Neither mine nor yours.
  • Our main gift is what we offer to Christ.
  • Gifts are given to others in the name of Jesus.
  • Jesus Christ is still the reason for the season.

Personal Update

Our family is pressing on together and seeking to be faithful to our walk, vows and commitments.  Like most families, we have our share of challenges.  The main privilege we have is to proclaim is that God is faithful through the challenges.

God blessed Leeann who finished her degree in fashion design in May.  She now works for a fashion jewelry store in Franklin and is involved in a serious relationship with JJ who finished police academy recently.  JJ took a position as a policeman for a small city nearby.  Joshua is back at UT-Knoxville where he is studying for a degree in Communications.  Josh has a growing relationship with Alannah who was a supportive friend during his days in Iraq .   Alannah is also a sophomore at UT-Knoxville.   Laura at 16 now thinks she wants to study to become a marine biologist.  The plan at this point is to check out UT-Chattanooga for this degree.  (Suggestions of a suitable college welcomed).  Andrew is 14 and has determined he wants to be a fire fighter so he is joining the Boy Scouts Explorer’s Fire Fighters team and will be seeking to volunteer and gain the training to earn the points needed to get hired as a fire fighter.  He now realizes that he needs to get a degree in Fire Science one day.  Penny stays committed to helping Laura and Andrew with their home school classes & tutorial studies.  She loves being able to encourage some dear friends with her house cleaning services.  Penny’s mother (Pat) and Ron’s mother (Bertie) are doing well considering their challenges.  Ron’s daughter, Renee, and her family still live in Anderson , SC.   She andCraig have two children (Lucas and Ava).

New Development – Faith Ministry Associate
As you may know, I have been serving as the manager of a ministry division of a financial firm based in Franklin , TN.   This has been like the role of a marketplace chaplain, but I have been more of a consultant with a title of a marketing specialist.  I have recently helped this values-based financial firm become a key sponsor for 24 Iron Sharpens Iron national men’s conferences, which can be found at IronSharpensIron.   We have placed some ads about our values-based services and products in some national magazines and have exhibited at some denominational conferences.  Most importantly, God led me to develop a key ministry position called the Faith Ministry Associate (FMA) which I am assuming on January 1st.

I will become an independent contractor alongside of our growing number of financial advisors.    I have asked to transition to this FMA role for various reasons.   Becoming an FMA will permit more time for Healthy Initiative Ministries.

This is truly an exciting time as we develop and field test what will become an effective way for many ministry-minded men and women to take on a part-time role to help promote values-based investing at a time when the Ford Company and even Wal-Mart is intentionally caving in to the liberal’s agenda.  Please keep up with the information that American Family Association offers at AFA where you can sign up for their excellent email Alerts.  I want to encourage you to call me for a  Portfolio Values Analysis (PVA) of your investments.

As an FMA, I will be offering churches, ministries, Christian Colleges and Universities the simple means to see if their investments (endowment funds, etc.) match their values and the values of their donors.  Our mission is to alert the Church so that as individuals and organizations are no longer helping fund the agenda of the Enemy which is counter to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and advances the Kingdom of God.

I am passionate about ways to accomplish our mission of “Equipping Ministries with Funding Resources”.  This may involve equipping or helping to resource the staff of ministry organizations.  As an FMA, I am to market our Double Blessing Program (credit card processing services), screening services, and getting qualified leads for our financial reps.  We will soon have a Values-Based Investing curriculum to be used by churches and small groups.  Praise God that I can get back on the field for the sake of fulfilling some of our ministry goals for H.I.M.   I need your help to get the type of clients needed as I serve as a bridge between the Faith Community and our financial representatives.

Haitian Outreach Update

Valery Olivier – Healthy Initiative Ministries – Haiti .  Smile of the Child Hospital in the background is near completion getting ready to provide needed hope for the pediatric needs in this poor country.

Update from Valery Olivier ( H.I.M. - Haiti )

Dear brothers in the Lord Jesus,

I thank our God the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his great love and for the abundance of his riches that he demonstrates in every aspect of his creation and through his diligent children who are willing to let the whole world know the Truth that can set them free.

The people of Haiti will for ever be grateful for hope and opportunities that will enable many fathers to take their responsibility toward their spouses and their children. We are very sure that our God is going to use these opportunities as channels through which we can communicate the love and the joy of the Kingdom of God to them.  While we are bringing down the wall of poverty in their community, we are also encouraging them to bring their lives to Jesus.

We have waited patiently for our first BUV to be delivered to us in Haiti .  We are praying and expecting God's wonderful will to be done in his time.

We are very diligent.  We have contacted many potential donors who can not wait to see this (BUV Factory). I have more time now since I have surrendered to full time ministry.

We have opened two branches of our ministry: the soccer ministry as a means of evangelization and the one year Bible reading club.  Our prayer request is that God keep us going in a country full of hatred and chaos.

Pastors and friends in Port-a-Prince with our BUV

SEND-a-BUV Program

We still need $2,000 to cover the cost of this first BUV that we purchased and sent to Valery in Haiti .  We had to get our first one there in order to launch the BUV micro-factory.

We have helped develop an innovative program with the Institute for Affordable Transportation in Indianapolis .  It is called the SEND-a-BUV program.    You can make a huge difference for so many needy people in developing countries.  The BUV and the necessary shipping cost is approximately $3500.

You, your family, youth group, church or organization can SEND-a-BUV to a developing country or specifically to a favorite ministry.  You donate or raise the funds to send a BUV.  Regular reports will be sent to you if your BUV is sent to an organization that agrees to participate in this program.  YOU CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.  The BUV can be used in many ways especially in more rural areas.

We aim to encourage the use of these structurally strong and dependable vehicles as a more efficient and effective means of providing health care.  We will use the BUV to take health care workers to those in need in rural communities.

The BUV factory is a micro-enterprise that will provide income and meet practical transportation needs.  These vehicles can be used to fulfill a model of health care delivery that has significant potential for long term success.  The BUVs can also help provide clean water, proper nutrition, HIV/AIDS education and treatment.

The Basic Utility Vehicle is a vehicle for change.  Its purpose is to help meet people’s everyday needs at the ends of the earth.  More than cars, we are building people, opportunity, and freedom.  BUVs promote trade and reduce poverty at a grassroots level.  You can find more about I.A.T. and the BUV at DriveBUV.org

The cost of developing a BUV factory in Haiti is $50,000.  Your investment will have huge dividends for the Kingdom.   Donations are to be payable to Healthy Initiative Ministries and mailed to P.O. Box 682385  Franklin , TN   37068 .  Call Ron at 615-238-4035 if you want more information.

Haitian Mission Talk CD
Valery Oliver, our director of H.I.M.’s Haitian Outreach has produced a CD set that will help many who minister to Haitians.  This two CD set will be a valuable tool for churches that send teams on mission trips to Haiti .   Suggested donation is $30 for the 2 CD set.  Donations above the cost will help support our Haitian Outreach.

Juice Plus Update
I enjoy encouraging medical professionals to challenge and equip patients to consider the value of a neutraceutical whole food product called Juice Plus which is 17 fruits and vegetables in a capsule.  There are other Juice Plus products such as Complete (powder mix), Thins,  Gummies, etc.   You can find the link to my Juice Plus web site on our ministry site.  So many are beginning to realize the importance of a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables.  We can be a significant part of the solution to help transform health care in America .

Book Review – Finding Your Greater Yes
My good friend, Dan Erickson, has written a great book.  Published by Nelson, 2006.   This is a real book written by a real man of great faith – a pastor.  This resource will help you find your greater God-given destiny.   With 31 chapters, you can use this as a daily devotional.   Dan suggests that God’s Purpose + Your Potential = Your “Greater Yes”.  I urge you to consider this book a gift to those you love and want to encourage in their faith in Jesus Christ for eternity.  Dan wrote, “I don’t fear failure.  I fear succeeding at things that don’t matter”!!   WOW. JUNE, 2006

Dear Friends and Sponsors,                                                                                  June, 2006

In case you didn’t notice, I took a much needed break from sending out these Updates.  Enclosed is your receipt if you are one of our faithful donors.  Your gifts are greatly appreciated.  We are more focused on our mission and especially on the developments in Haiti and eventually in other Caribbean countries.  Visit our web site for our H.I.M. Updates and other information.   This issue offers some news items along with some general comments / suggestions.   As always, I try to include some recommended resources and let you know how funds are needed for our projects.

Personal News:

We are very excited to share with you that one of the Lively children is now a college graduate.   One down and three to go.  Our oldest - Leeann made us very proud parents by graduating from Omore College of Design in Franklin , TN.   She really shined as a fashion designer in the sold-out fashion show just prior to graduation.  Leeann earned the top fashion designer award of her senior class.  Her collection included one man’s suit and six bridal gowns.  She has started work at a fashion jewelry store and outlet in downtown Franklin – “What’s In Store”.  Way to go Leeann!!.  Well done - good and faithful  servant!!

As you can see from the pictures, parents, both grandmothers, and JJ are very proud of Leeann.

We are praising God that our rental house in Jackson , MS sold in record time which has helped us pay off some debts.  Joshua is home from his first semester at University of TN.   He will be home most of the summer doing a number of things.  One will be helping us develop our Lively Mowing Service.  Don’t ask!  This is my way of teaching our two boys some practical skills.  People have some rather large lawns here so our new Cub Cadet zero turn commercial mower will be getting some good use by all of us this summer.  This new family business permits me to do some mentoring on how to launch and maintain a small business and how to manage money in a way that honors God.

Laura and Andrew are already enjoying their summer break.  Pray for the time to kick back and relax some this summer.  I expect to enjoy the fruit of some hard labor in our larger garden this   summer so we can eat lots of fresh vegetables.

Haitian Mission Talk CD is Ready
Valery Oliver, our director of H.I.M.’s Haitian Outreach has produced a CD set that will help many who minister to Haitians.  This two CD set will be a valuable tool for churches that send teams on mission trips to Haiti .   Suggested donation is $30 for the 2 CD set.  Donations above the cost will help support our Haitian Outreach.

June 1-5 Appalachia Family Mission Trip.
Please pray for our family as we join a group of 100 people from our church to go and serve in one of the poorest counties in the nation.  We will be offering home improvements and a Vacation Bible School program.  Penny serves as the food director which makes her a popular person.  The cost which we still need to raise for this mission trip is $300.  This is a strategic way for families to teach children ways to effectively serve others in need in the name of Christ.  Please designate your check for Appalachia Family Trip.

Faith Ministry Resources:
Speaking of resources, I am excited to announce that I have been asked to serve as the director of a new division of Faith Financial Services, Inc.  We are calling this Faith Ministry Resources.  The mission is “Equipping Ministries and Faith-Based Companies with Revenue-Sharing Resources”.  I started this new work recently as a “tent-making” job after working on a contractual basis with this financial firm since Feb., 2005.  I am being asked to do what I have naturally sought to do for most of my ministry years and that is to network ministries and leaders.   It was a privilege to assist Stephen Bolt to finish his new book titled Money on Loan from God which can be found at  www.moneyonloanfromgod.com.  This is a very valuable resource that participating ministries can use to help generate extra revenue and promote values-based investing.  You will be able to order a copy at www.afa.net or go to www.amazon.com.  Stephen writes that that the order you place four simple words of Life, Purpose, Plan and Money will determine whether your life has meaning, or is simply an interlude between birth and death.  “Most people unintentionally place so much emphasis on money – its abundance or deficiency – that their entire life revolves around it.  Scripture tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil.  Place too much emphasis on the advantages that money can bring is akin to idolatry, in that it displaces God as the focus of our life.  That is somewhat self-evident.  But what about the flip side?  What about the people who are so committed to getting out of debt that they let life--and God’s calling--pass them by in the process?”  We have several resources that will help ministries and faith-based companies financially.  Ministries and leaders can be better equipped to do the work God called them to accomplish.  In this work, I hope to provide for my family while your donations will help continue and expand the mission of Healthy Initiative Ministries.  Money on Loan from God will give you the answers you need to develop a financial plan that attempts to not only meet your financial goals, but reflect your personal faith and values at the same time.  We will have a new website soon at www.faithministryresources.org.   I can be reached in the FMR office at 615-224-2846 or at rlively@faithfinancialplanners.com.

The Reel Opportunity –
Go to www.thereelopportunity.com for a demo of how creative you can get with Photomap and how MyTV will be presented in the near future.   Call me at 615-238-4035 for more information.  This opportunity to market internet TV is worth your time to check this out.  I can explain how you can have your own Channel and subscribe to some TV channels.   Some of you may be looking for a second job to get out of debt or to help pay for high gasoline bills.  This is a real deal – called The Reel Opportunity.

Juice Plus Update:

I am excited to announce that I just won first place nationally in developing virtual franchises with Juice Plus+.  God has blessed with a program that permits me to offer needed services that benefit patients, physicians, and medical professionals in general.  The end result is positive for everyone including extra financial support for H.I.M.  I recently included an appeal for medical professionals to encourage patients to consider the value of a neutraceutical whole food product called Juice Plus which is 17 fruits and vegetables in a capsule.  There are a few other Juice Plus products such as Complete (powder mix), Thins (crackers),  Gummies, etc.  You can find a Juice Plus banner on our web site.

I am pleased to announce that God has blessed and I now have eight individuals who have taken seriously the offer to start a virtual franchise (web site store).  Half of these are medical professionals who are convinced of the value of Juice Plus after reading the excellent gold standard research which you can find on the JP site.   I have a list of several more physicians and other medical professionals who have expressed an interest in helping patients attain and maintain optimal health.

Busy Doctors, Nurses, PAs and MAs, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Personal Trainers, Coaches, etc. are candidates for our new Professional Support Program (PSP).  Juice Plus+ has become one of the greatest nutritional advances of the late 20th Century. This whole food supplement is now the #1 selling nutritional product in capsule form in the world—for good reason...it helps people consume the nutrients of 17 whole, ripe fruits, vegetables, and grains without the sugars or salts, and without the bother of juicing.  It is simple - you regularly provide information to your patients about products and services that would benefit them health-wise.

The PSP program asks that you inform patients and friends who desire nutritional information about the scientific research behind Juice Plus+, give them a CD or one of the new DVDs and let them decide for themselves if augmenting their diets in this way makes sense. A “wellness coordinator” (WC) is recommended to handle the follow-up calls and help people order Juice Plus+ products if they wish to do so. No pressure is needed.  Your WC can be someone you know and choose.

Over time, this program can provide a significant secondary long-term income stream.  You get to truly help patients or friends toward better health through better nutrition. Everybody wins!!  Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.  You can find the link for our Juice Plus virtual franchise on www.medicalmobilizers.org.  Please let us help you help your patients and friends seek optimal health.

Kids Feeding Kids, Inc.

Please pray for a new ministry Dee Van Tassell and I are planning.  The mission is: “Offer kids the opportunity to do more together than they can do alone in helping to feed malnourished children worldwide.”  This could be a tremendous way to help provide an effective nutritional product called InstaLife.  The results of inviting kids to give $.25 a month united in a global program will teach them the power of “strength in numbers” and that they can make a difference in saving millions of lives.  One child with only twenty-five cents can buy one meal in a month.  But uniting thousands of children, they will be able to have a global impact on millions of children just like themselves.

Through this experience, their hearts will be changed forever as they develop compassion for needy children throughout the world.

A two ounce serving of InstaLife will provide 100% of all the proteins (16 grams), vitamins, minerals, and amino acids needed to build a strong body and a healthy mind resulting in proper growth and development.

- No cooking required

- Can be mixed with any liquid

- Mixed with hot water creates a warm cereal or porridge

- No sugars or fillers are added

Scored among the highest in digestibility ever recorded at the Product Safety Testing Laboratory in New Jersey .
   - InstaLife exceeds the daily requirements for amino acids:

InstaLife has been chosen by Cornell University division of nutritional science for a human study in Tanzania involving malnourished children.  The product has been well received by the participants in this study.     Miracles happen with InstaLife.

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS (HSAs):
Consider the benefits of a HSA (Health Saving Account).  I can help you evaluate your needs as a general agent with Assurant Health.   I believe this is a viable solution that could help transform our weakened health care system.  You can find info on our web site or call me at 615-238-4035.   I will have a specific Assurant web site for online requests and information soon.

                H.I.M. - Haitian Outreach - Valery Olivier

Valery Olivier having some fun testing our BUV that is heading to Haiti this month with LifeLine.org

       Dear brothers and sisters,

I returned to Haiti in early March.  I have missed you as if you were members of my immediate family.  I am confident that if we are not meant to see each other again in this earthly dress called "the flesh", we will be rejoicing together in his arms in glory forever and ever.  But while we are still here, let us be diligent just like the bees and the ants to let the world know what they will miss if they do not get onto the "ark" at the appropriate time.  That God loves them and wishes them to be saved from eternal punishment.

I am willing to write more often but you would be surprised to see how fast a country can go from bad to worse in only a period of 10 months.  The internet system is made slower so the cyber cafes can make more money. The transportation system is worse.  Every thing deteriorated while I was in the United States for ten months.

But our faith is being made strong through the power of the Holy Ghost who has raised Jesus from the dead.  We strongly believe that it is about time that the  Haiti people rise from the dead and be fruitful, productive and able to provide for its own self for the Glory of GOD in the Precious name of Jesus.

If I do have one more thing to share with you it would be:  brothers and sisters let us keep our eyes on Jesus and let us not allow "anything" in this world, whether it be money, family, friends, expected and unexpected, seen and unseen, living and non living - things that take your eyes off of HIM. This season reminds us all the suffering and the death of our savior and the love that emanates from that sacrifice.   Boldness of the gospel and hope of eternal life will keep us going through it all.  Pray that God will keep us focused on his ministry for it is rising like the sun chasing away the darkness over Haiti .  We are in the process of legalizing the different papers for H.I.M.’s presence in Haiti .  Pray that God straightens up the rugged path before us and that his will be done in everything as it is in Heaven.

SEND-a-BUV Program:

Valery, Ron and Will Austin at BUV Banquet

Institute for Affordable Transportation Banquet:
Just prior to Valery heading home to Haiti , we  enjoyed a trip to Indianapolis to attend the first annual banquet for IAT / BUV.  We were excited to hear that the Send-A-BUV program that we envisioned was adopted and promoted.  We were able to test out a couple of BUVs and spend some good time with Will Austin, founder and director of BUV.  Will graciously let us borrow one of his trailers so we could bring our BUV home before getting it shipped on to Valery in Haiti .

Important:  We need to raise $3500 to cover the cost of this first BUV that will be used by Valery in many ways in Haiti .  We had to get our first one there in order to launch the BUV micro-factory.

General Information:  We have launched an innovative program with the Institute for Affordable Transportation based in Indianapolis .  It is called the SEND-a-BUV program because that is what you can do to make a huge difference for so many needy people in developing countries.  The BUV and the necessary shipping cost (approximately $3500).

You, your family, youth group, church or organization can SEND a BUV to a developing country or specifically to a favorite ministry.  You donate or raise the funds for Regular reports will be sent to you if your BUV is sent to an organization that agrees to participate in this program.  YOU CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.  The BUV can be used in many ways especially in more rural areas.

We aim to encourage the use of these structurally strong and dependable vehicles as a more efficient and effective means of providing health care.  We will use the BUV to take health care workers to the rural communities.   Our plan takes the health care professionals out to the people (telemedicine) rather than having people come to health care providers (telemedicine).  The BUV is a micro-enterprise that will provide income and meet practical transportation needs.  These vehicles can be used to fulfill a spoke/wheel model of health care delivery that has significant potential for long term success.  The BUVs can also help provide clean water, proper nutrition, HIV/AIDS education and treatment.

The Basic Utility Vehicle is a vehicle for change.  Its purpose is to help meet peoples' everyday needs at the ends of the earth.  More than cars, we are building people, opportunity, and freedom.  BUVs will promote trade and reduce poverty at a grassroots level. – www.drivebuv.org

We have plans to utilize a water purification system with a BUV to help improve overall health.    More details will be on our web site.

Please pray with us that God will provide $50,000 that is needed to get an assembly factory developed in Haiti soon.  Donations are to be payable to Healthy Initiative Ministries and mailed to P.O. Box 682385 , Franklin , TN   37068 .  Designate for BUVs.  Call Ron at 615-238-4035 if you want more information.

Dear Friends and Sponsors,                                                     January / February, 2006

We are grateful that a friend/advisor has provided us with a beautiful new H.I.M. logo and web banner. The key messages stand out. The pictures were chosen specifically for significance in supporting the logo and HIM mission:
* Stethoscope – doctor with stethoscope supports medical missions / outreach
* Bible – family reading Bible supports picture of healthy family unit
* Apples – “prayerful” hands holding apple supports spiritual dimension of whole person wellness
* Broken Heart – reveals our lives ministered to Jesus the Great Physician (Bible)
* Church - specifically a mission church signifying our medical missions outreach
* Girls -specifically from Haiti supporting our Haitian Outreach and other foreign ministries
* Faith, Hope, Love are taken from 1 Corinthians 13:13. Thanks Jim, for this awesome gift.

PERSONAL NEWS:
Praise God that we have an offer on the sale of our rental house in Jackson , MS .  This is obviously a blessing from a loving Father as it really could not have been a better offer.  This will allow us to get out of debt and get a fresh start.  Our debt was incurred during many years of seeking to remain faithful to a ministry calling.    God is blessing my work with Faith Financial Planning as well.  There is a lot of  new work coordinating an increasing number of  large marketing projects.  I usually can handle a number of different jobs thanks to my training and work in hospital administration.  The doors are opening for some great ministry opportunities.  Please pray for our strength, energy and good health so we can be effective in all God has for us to do in ministry and family for God’s Glory.  Leeann just went through a challenging few days as she had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed.  This was necessary as she was experiencing severe pain prior to the surgery.  Joshua is now settled in as a student at the University of TN in Knoxville .   God blessed with a great dorm roommate – Brian, who is a junior studying religion and philosophy seeking to become a chaplain in the Army.  Laura will soon be 16 and is eager to drive solo.  Please pray for her safety and wisdom.  Andrew is so excited to start playing in-line hockey again soon.  We are trusting God to continue to provide for our needs.  We do need your ongoing financial support and prayers.   Please consider being a part of what God is doing through H.I.M. by mailing in the form below with your donation. Thanks in advance for joining our Team of supporters.

Upcoming Mission Trips:

1.  June 1-5 The Appalachia Family Mission Trip:
Help our family go to serve one of the poorest counties in the nation with home improvements and VBS.  Penny serves as the food director so everyone wants her to be there.  Cost is approximately $750.  This is a strategic way for families to teach children ways to effectively serve others in need in the name of Christ.  Please designate checks for Appalachia Family Trip.

2.  July 1-9:  Bahamas (Haitian Community):  Continuing to take mission groups to Haiti is a challenge.  One solution is to go and minister to Haitians in some of the surrounding countries in the Caribbean .  Our prayer is that Valery as a native Haitian will be able to join us on this trip.  I am praying about going with Valery and taking Andrew (13).  Our main role is to offer a VBS but others projects are planned.  There may be an opportunity to establish a BUV outreach there for the Haitian community.  Estimated cost is $4,000.

Juice Plus - Attention Busy Doctors, Nurses, PAs and MAs, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Personal Trainers, Coaches, etc. -- Professional Support Program (PSP) may be for you.

If you’re like me, you tend to focus on how you can best help others in one way or another; in particular, how you can help them attain and maintain optimal health. For me, pursuing this goal has come to include telling my patients/clients/friends about the health-enhancing benefits of Juice Plus+, which was one of the greatest nutritional advances of the late 20th Century, bar none. This whole food supplement is now the #1 selling nutritional product in capsule form in the world—for good reason...it helps people consume the nutrients of 17 whole, ripe fruits, vegetables, and grains without the sugars or salts, and without the bother of juicing.

Again, if you’re like me, you’re not interested in “selling” anything, nor would you ever cross any ethical boundary in promoting ancillary products or services with which you are personally involved. However, you regularly provide information to your patients about products and services that would benefit them health-wise.   That is all the program I’ve become involved with asks—that we tell patients who desire nutritional information about the scientific research behind Juice Plus+, give them a CD to listen to, and let them decide for themselves if augmenting their diets in this way makes sense. A “wellness coordinator” (WC) handles the follow up and helps people order if they wish to do so. No pressure is ever applied.  Your wellness coordinator can be someone you know and choose or someone we will assign for you.

Over time, this program can provide a significant secondary income stream for the professional, to use for benevolent or mission activities or whatever (one doctor in the Mid-West uses his income from this to cover his expenses in providing health care to the underserved one day a week). It also provides extra cash for the WC, while at the same time helping patients toward better health through better nutrition. What a great combination—everybody wins!!!!!

I can send you a description of the program (called the “professional support program”) and one or more informational and inspirational CDs, including one made from a taped phone interview of a radiation oncologist who has integrated this product into her treatment plan with all her patients who wish to use it. Because she has seen and experienced the benefits of Juice Plus+ personally, she feels obligated to share what she knows with anyone who will listen. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.

You can find the link for our Juice Plus virtual franchise on www.medicalmobilizers.org or specifically at   http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/Home.soa?site=rl89123.  Excellent research is available on this site.

SEND-a-BUV Program:

We have launched an innovative program with the Institute for Affordable Transportation based in Indianapolis .  It is called the SEND-a-BUV program because that is what you can do to make a huge difference for so many needy people in developing countries.  You, your family, youth group, church or organization can SEND a BUV to a developing country or specifically to a favorite ministry.  You donate or raise the funds for the BUV and the necessary shipping cost. (approximately $3 to $4k)  Regular reports will be sent to you if your BUV is sent to an organization that agrees to participate in this program.  YOU CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.  The BUV can be used in many ways especially in more rural areas.  However, our specific focus is to encourage the use of these structurally strong and dependable vehicles as a more efficient and effective means of providing health care.  We aim to use the BUV to take health care workers to the rural communities.   Our model takes the health care professionals out to the people (telemedicine) rather than having people come to health care providers (telemedicine).  The BUV is a micro-enterprise that will provide income and meet practical transportation needs.  These vehicles can be used to fulfill a spoke/wheel model of health care delivery that has significant potential for long term success.  The BUVs can help provide clean water, proper nutrition, HIV/AIDS education and treatment.  Here are a few pictures of BUVs:
